Veterans' Agent

As our Veterans grow older it is important that they have a resource to contact when they require assistance or have questions about available programs. This department assists a number of veterans each year.

Services include: assistance with pensions, insurance, hospitalization payments, home loans and record keeping, working with other veterans' organizations, assistance in arranging burial services, grave marker upkeep, and commemorative services. Veterans' Services also provides emergency assistance to veterans who find themselves unable to afford everyday living expenses. The Commonwealth reimburses the Town for a portion of these costs.

We have provided a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ's) in order to provide online answers to some of the questions that are asked of our office. Additionally, we have provided forms to save you time. Please call us if you should have further questions.

The Veteran's Agent is appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
